A horse is a thing of such beauty,
none will tire of looking at him as he displays himself in his splendor. Xenophon
Welcome, and thanks for dropping by to the online home of Getting Along with Horses. My name is Kylie Godwin. Have a look around and if you find anything that interests you, feel free to email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
My dedication to you, is to provide assistance in developing calm, willing horses and intuitive, confident riders. The philosophy I share is based on communication, understanding and psychology by way of the absence of mechanics, fear and force. Helping you achieve your goals, whether they lie in pleasure riding or competition, while experiencing harmony and connection, is my inspiration. My holistic approach to improving our equine relationships encompasses the mental, emotional and physical aspects of both horse and rider while offering progressive, professional and individually tailored services.
I have been studying, teaching, training and competing in the equine industry for over 25 years and being a share-a-holic, am passionate about offering my knowledge to inspire and assist other horse lovers. I provide private instruction both handling and riding plus on-site training (including float loading and problem solving), as well as takes in young horses for starting and foundation training at my property in Bayindeen, Victoria.
Horses are wonderful teachers and the development of my experience has been a challenging and rewarding journey for Kylie. Having grown up with 'traditional' training methods, there came a point where I yearned to find a way to work with the horse, rather than against it, inspiring me to seek alternative methods for a more complete understanding of my equine partners.
My training principles are based on borrowings from Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Bill Dorrance, Buck Brannaman, Steve Halfpenny, Phillip Nye, Martin Black, Bryan Neubert, Leslie Desmond plus many other experienced horsemen that align with my own ideals - getting along with horses.
